BP4029 is a professional stereo shotgun microphone built for high-end broadcasting, videography, and location sound recording. Originally developed for the Sydney Olympics, this compact, lightweight microphone is optimized for camera-mount use while delivering exceptional audio depth. It features independent Line-cardioid and Figure-of-eight condenser elements, giving users the flexibility of Mid-Side (M-S) recording or internally matrixed stereo imaging in Wide or Narrow modes — selectable via an on-board switch. A switchable 80 Hz low-frequency roll-off minimizes unwanted noise from wind, traffic, or camera vibration. The BP4029 provides superior off-axis rejection, keeping your primary subject clear even in noisy environments. It connects via an integral 5-pin XLR output and includes a 24" Y-cable that splits into two standard 3-pin XLR connectors. The package includes an AT8405a stand clamp, AT8134 foam windscreen, and a protective carrying case. Manufactured in Japan to exacting standards, the BP4029 delivers reliable, consistent performance across a 40 Hz to 20,000 Hz frequency response range.
